Senator representing Enugu West Senatorial District Engr Osita Ngwu wins at the Election petition tribunal where his victory was challenged by his opponents from other parties.
Sen. Osita Ngwu is a first time senator at the Senate Chamber of the Nigeria National Assembly where he represents the good people of Enugu West Senatorial District.
He is from Okwojo Ngwo in Udi Local Government Area, Enugu State and his victory came as a jubilation for his people and supporters. He is also known for his success in the private sector as a businessman who already accumulated wealth in the private sector before offering himself as a servant currently serving his people at the Senate.
He replaced the former Deputy Senate President Sen. Ike Ekweremmadu who was in the Senate from 2003 – 2022.
Sen. Ngwu’s victory at the tribunal dismissed the case filed by Labour Party senatorial candidate Hon. Dennis O. who challenged his victory on the senatorial election held on 25th February 2023.
The opposition has a right to appeal the case at the Appeal Court or congratulate Sen. Osita Ngwu if they are comfortable with the judgement of the Tribunal.
The judgment delivered on the 12th of September 2023 went in the favour of Sen. Osita Ngwu in testimony of his victory during the senatorial election he contested alongside Prof. Nike of APC, Hon. Denis of the LP and others.
