EFCC Hands 14 Forfeited Properties to Enugu State Government

Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) led by the honourable chairman of the commission Mr Ola Olukoyode on Thursday 25th April 2024 disclosed handing over 14 forfeited properties to Enugu State Government.

The properties handover event was attended by the executive governor of Enugu State His Excellency Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah who thanked the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria HE Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his committed efforts that led to the handover of the recovered properties to Enugu State Government even when the properties were forfeited to the federal government. He equally thanked the chairman of EFCC for his laudable works in the commission and expressed his administration’s target on transparency.

EFCC Chairman Mr Ola who did the property handover at commission’s headquarters said the journey started in 2007 leading to the recovery or forfeiture of the properties which Enugu State Government has revoked the title of some.

The names of people that the forfeited properties were recovered from were not disclosed in the press release but perhaps it may be stated clearly in the documents handed over to Enugu State Government.
