Senate Condemns Killings of Nigerian Soldiers in Delta State

Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in The red chamber of the National Assembly during their plenary on Tuesday 19th March 2024 have condemned the brutal and gruesome murder of about seventeen soldiers of the Nigeria Army in Okuama Community Delta State.

The President of the Senate Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio noted that the loss was a monumental one and all Nigerians are mourning.

The senate president charged the committees on Army, Navyy, Defence, Security, and others to embark on an investigation to uncover what happened and those behind the killings as nobody can categorically identify the killers yet until the security agencies say so.

In another viral news, the Governor of Delta State His Excellency Rt. Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori has paid an urgent visit to the office of the president of Nigeria where he met President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to discuss the killings of the Nigerian Soldiers who were alleged to be on a peacekeeping mission in Okuama Community before they were ambushed and killed.
