Osita Ngwu Emerges Minority Whip in 10th Senate Assembly

The senator representing Enugu West Senatorial District at the 10th Senate-Assembly Engr Osita Ngwu has been elevated to the position of Minority whip.

Senator Osita Ngwu popularly known as RG replaced Senator Ike Ekweremmadu on the Senate floor of the National Assembly. The latter represented the good people of Enugu West senatorial district from 2003 till 2022 and until the expiration of his tenure in 2023. The former contested for the 25th February 2023 Senatorial election as the flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) and emerged victoriously in the election.

Recall that the appeal court has affirmed his victory in the said election and his supporters welcomed the judgement with jubilation. His recent emergence as the new minority whip of the 10th Senate Assembly is another big win for the young senator as it has not been long since he celebrated his victory in an election petition case brought against him by the candidate of the Labour Party (LP) during the senatorial election.

Osita Ngwu is the only senator in Enugu State who won the 25th February 2023 Senatorial election under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party( PDP).

The senators representing Enugu North and Enugu East are both in the Labour Party ( LP)
