Nigerian Ports Authority in a viral letter signed by the Port Manager Lagos Port Complex Mr Charles B. Okaga has written to all shipping companies through Berthing Meeting Committee informing them the reinstatement of Intels Nigeria Limited as the authority’s service boat operations monitoring providers in the pilotage districts.
The letter revealed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in a directive dated 18th August 2023 and the judgement of the Federal High Court on 21st September 2023 led to the extended service boat operation contract between NPA and Intels Nigeria Limited.
Recall that the contract was suspended for many months now but the letter has given Intels Nigeria Limited unrestricted access to information on pilotage movements and mandated to commence operation immediately.
