The football competition to lift AFCON 2023/2024 trophy in Ivory Coast keeps getting interesting as many countries that performed well during the group stages have been eliminated.
Nigeria came second in the group stage and defeated Cameroon in the round sixteen of the tournament to qualify for the quarter-finals.
A country like Equatorial Guinea which came first during the group stage has been eliminated so far which came as a shock to supporters of the country in the AFCON.
The hosting country Ivory Coast in a big move has eliminated Senegal in the tournament and qualified for the quarter-finals.
In the CAF Africa Cup of Nations(AFCON) holding in Côte d’Ivoire, about eight countries have qualified so far for the quarter-finals.
