Tragedy struck on Thursday 14th March 2024 as gunmen killed seventeen military officers in Okuama Community,Delta State. The news came as a big loss for the Nigerian Military and the direct families of the slain officers.
Concerned Nigerians and the president of Nigeria His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu have condemned the attack leading to the death of the military officers.
It was alleged that the military officers were on a peacekeeping mission in the community when they were attacked and killed ruthlessly by the gunmen.
The Governor of Delta State His Excellency Sheriff Oborevwori who is equally the Chief Security Officer in the State vowed to fish out the miscreants and those behind the killings of the military officers.
The news came as a big shock and unexpected event that consumed the death of many military officers killed in the community. The seventeen slain military officers were attached to the 181 Amphibious Battalion.
