APC National Chairman Umar Ganduje Battles Survival as Party Chairman

In a reported news, the former Governor of Kano State and the incumbent National Chairman of the ruling party All Progressive Congress (APC) Abdullahi Umar Ganduje was suspended in his ward as a member of the party.

The ward chairman of his party APC in Kano State said the suspension was due to the alleged dollar bribery allegation levelled on Umar Ganduje as the then Governor of Kano State so as to enable him to clear his name.

Ganduje on several occasions had denied the allegations of dollar bribery as a false thing targeted at his good image but in a recent development , a court was said to have given approval for the investigation of the alleged crime.

Fortunately for him, APC in Kano State took up the matter and declared the suspension from the ward chairman null and void with disciplinary measures to inquire why such move came about from the ward level where the National Chairman of the party is from.

In a similar case, the former National Chairman of APC Senator Adams Aliyu Oshimohle lost his seat as National Chairman in 2020 due to his suspension from his ward as a member of the party during the hit up of Edo State Governorship election in 2020.

His Excellency Abdullahi Umar Ganduje nearly risked suffering the same fate of Oshiomohle if the suspension saw the light of the day.

Ganduje had recorded the conspiracy against him as the National Chairman of the party and he may prepare further to avert any bad omen that could threaten his position as APC National Chairman.
