Early life
Don Jazzy was born on 26th November 1982 in Umuahia, Abia State Nigeria to the family of Mr. and Mrs. Collins Enebeli Ajereh. He grew up in Ajegunle in present day Lagos State Nigeria. Even though he was born in Abia State, he did not grow up there as his family migrated to Lagos State where he got assimilated to Lagos life and need to think outside the box for productivity in the hustling and bustling city of Lagos State.
His parents were popular for their prowess in commercial activities and it enabled him to have business skills even as a child. His environment motivated him while he kept thinking big and sharpening his skills to do things differently.

In Africa, most people are deemed to come from where their father is from. His mother was an Igbo woman from Abia State, one of the five states that makes up present day South East of Nigeria while his father is from Isoko tribe in Delta State, South –South Geo political region of Nigeria.

Career
His passion for music started early in life as he became passionate about creating a name in the music industry. When he was in his high school at Federal Government College Lagos, he already started mastering and perfecting his skills in handling musical instrument. His passion for music grew every day and he never blinked a day to regret his passion for music.
He has worked as a security guard in London after visiting his uncle there in an invitation to perform in a church program which inspired his passion the more and he knew from beginning that music is going to be his thing and he went fully into it without checking time.
In 2004, he perfected a collaboration deal with another music crooner D’banj to form a record label called Mo’ Hits Records. Aside his active roles for the success of the record label he started with D’banj, he also pushed to gain further knowledge that comes with working for international artists in with environmental or background exposures. In the year 2011, he worked for Kanye West and Jay-zee. His works for the duo contributed in the production of a song titled “Lift off” and also featured Beyonce in an album called “Watch The Throne” released the same year 2011.
Marvin Records
His collaboration with D’banj which started in 2004 ended in 2012 which should be about nine years they did lots of things together under Mo’ Hits Record as an umbrella until they encountered differences that came with growth or life changes which necessitated them to separate to explore their dreams or visions differently.
In 2012, he launched Marvin records and expressed the audacity of his dream when he said that he see Marvin Records being the power house of music. Marvin Records has witnessed many artists that passed through the record label before going far to explore their other dreams in life. Till date Marvin Records still stands and continues to grow as Don Jazzy always returns to the drawing table to do honest key Performance Indicator (KPI) leading to making laudable moves for improvements.
Marriage
Don Jazzy has high level of maturity and he knows how to keep certain things secret which he considers private. It made his fans and some members of the general public to feel surprised when he opened up that he was once married to his sweetheart Michelle Jackson in 2003 before he started a record label with D’banj. The marriage only lasted for two years as he parted ways in form of divorce with Michelle Jackson in 2005.
When asked what led to the marriage failure, he accepted to be the cause as there was conflict with his music career and his marriage. It depicted his passion for music which cost him his marriage. It became a price or sacrifice he did for the sake of his music career.

He is not the only son of his parents as he has a younger brother who is also powerful in music industry and known popularly as D’Prince.

He is a Christian and a devoted member of Cherubim and Seraphim which Nigerians refers to as White garment church because they are always wearing white or a church with a notable uniform for function and services.
