Tribunal Sacks Kano State Governor and Declares Gawuna the Winner

Kano State Governor Abbas Yusuf of NNPP has been sacked by the Election Petition Tribunal and declared the former Deputy Governor of Kano State Gawuna as the winner of the Kano State Gubernatorial election held in March 2023.

In the Judgement delivered by the tribunal, Gawuna got the highest number of votes in the election.

The results of the election held on 18th March 2023:

NNPP: 1,019,602 – Winner
APC: 890,705

On 20th September 2023, the tribunal declared APC winner of the election following result declaration as follows:

APC: 890,705 — Winner
NNPP = 853,939
