The founder of Tesla, SpaceX and majority owner of X social media formerly known as Twitter has made a recent tweet to support the continuous existence of TikTok social media in the United States of America.
In other viral news, it was reported that the US government backed by the legislature is pushing to make a law that will ban TikTok in the country due to data breaches and the origin of the social media platform which the country is not an ally of the USA.
Elon Musk said it is his opinion that TikTok should not be banned even when he knows that such a ban will benefit his X social media platform.
Elon said that banning TikTok would be contrary to freedom of speech and expression. He said that America is not known for that as the country upholds the status of liberty, and freedom and stands firmly in protecting the core fundamental human rights of which freedom of speech and expression are part.
Recall that before Elon Musk acquired Twitter Inc now known as X, he made it clear that he was pursuing a platform that would recognize freedom of speech and expression.
