The President of Nigeria His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu received the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi who visited Nigeria on a working visit to the country with other plans to visit Guyana and Brazil where he plans to participate in programs both bilateral and multilateral, which according to the PM will add momentum to India’s ties with various nations.
Upon his arrival at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Abuja, he was received first by the incumbent Minister of Federal Capital Territory Abuja Barr. Nyesom Wike and the Minister of State Foreign Affairs Amb. Bianca Odinakachukwu Ojukwu including other dignitaries.
The Prime Minister was well-received in Nigeria and the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria conferred on him the second-highest national honour’s award in Nigeria as the Grand Commander of the Order of Niger (GCON).
Reacting to his visit to the President of Nigeria he said he had a very productive discussion with President Tinubu, he disclosed further that they talked about adding momentum to their strategic partnership.
Narendra Modi noted that the scope of the Nigeria – India partnership will attract more success in critical sectors such as defense, energy, technology, trade, health, education and more.
The Indian Prime Minister has tweeted/made several posts discussing the events of his visits to Nigeria on his official social media pages especially on his X handle where he has more than one hundred and three million followers all over the world.
