In viral news on Wednesday 10th April 2023, African multiple award-winning actor Junior Pope Obumneme Odonwodo and a few others were reportedly involved in a boat capsized accident at River Niger bothering Delta State and Anambra State.
In a video clip posted by the actor directly on his Instagram page where he had more than two million followers, he was telling the captain of the boat to take things easily as he had three children to take care of and it’s only him that his mother got. He told Swipe Nations that the video was to show them what actors pass through to entertain them which he said all in Nigeria’s pidgin language English.
The rumour of his death was dismissed when he was said to be alive but other news that came subsequently confirmed that he passed on to glory.
The viral news of the death of Junior Pope Obumneme Odonwodo from Ukehe Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area Enugu State came as a shock to the fans, supporters and people all over the world. He acted many movies that carved his name into the sand of time and his contributions to the Nollywood or entertainment industry are uncountable.
His death is also a painful one as Junior Pope is still in his youthful stage of Life with a wife and three sons who are still little boys.
