Super Eagles of Nigeria on Thursday 18th January 2024 defeated Ivory Coast in a match between the two countries for the Group stage of the on going Africa Cup of Nations.
Nigeria won the match with one goal as Ivory Coast couldn’t score any goal throughout the match.
The victory has given Nigeria four points in the group stage alongside Equatorial Guinea with four points too.
Ivory Coast has three points after suffering defeat in the hands of the Super Eagles of Nigeria while Guinea-Bissau has zero point so far in the group stage of the tournament.
The match between Nigeria and Ivory Coast is the second match Nigeria has played so far in the tournament.
The next match Nigeria will play in the group stage will be with Guinea-Bissau. The third match will determine the fate of Nigeria in the Group A category.
