NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs Enugu Chapter Visits Commissioner of Trade, Investment And Industry

The State Coordinator NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs Enugu State Chapter Engr. Chibuzo Ngwu on Monday 4th December 2023 led the executive members of the Youth Wing of Chamber of Commerce to visit the Honourable Commissioner of Trade, Investment and Industry.

The State Coordinator of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry Mine And Agriculture( NACCIMA) Youth Entrepreneurs Enugu State Chapter started the visit to the Enugu State Ministry of Trade, Investment and Industry by congratulating the Honourable Commissioner of the Ministry Barrister Adaora Chukwu for her appointment to the office by the Executive Governor of Enugu State His Excellency Dr Ndubuisi Mbah and the confirmation by the Enugu State House of Assembly.

Speaking further, the State Coordinator who is also the CEO of Afripact Industries Limited introduced NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs to the Commissioner while highlighting the vision of the Association “to empower and motivate the youth to enable them to participate effectively in the social, political and economic development of the society alongside the mission to create an enabling environment for youth empowerment and enhancement of employment opportunities and security.

The Honourable Commissioner of Trade, Investment and Industry Barr. Adaora Chukwu appreciated the executive members of the NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs Enugu State for coming to see her and said the ministry is open to collaboration and partnership to promote trade and investment in Enugu State. She requested comprehensive data on the members and also informed the executive to meet with their members to gather information on critical problems or challenges facing their businesses as the State government has numerous programs or interventions to support entrepreneurs.

Speaking from her wealth of experience she discussed strategic ways the Youth Wing of the Chamber of Commerce can utilize to facilitate the attainment of the organization’s goals in Enugu.

She said she looks forward to continuous engagement with the young entrepreneurs and the meeting should not be a one-off but regular and productive.

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry Mr Ifeanyi Onah JP also appreciated the NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs Enugu State Chapter for coming and urged the leadership to go deeper into mobilizing their fellow youths doing business in urban and rural areas to make more impacts.

Other Executive members of the NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs that attended the meeting and contributed immensely through questions and discussions with the honourable Commissioner include the Deputy Coordinator Mr Ebuka Okenwa representative of Nokson Gases Company Ltd, State Secretary Mr Matthew Chukwuebuka Aroh Managing Director Romat Group Limited and Project lead Ms Adachukwu Onwudiwe Co-founder Afrochivers Studio.
