The founder / Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace Chief Allen Onyema led the company to a ground-breaking first flight to London United Kingdom in the ending days of Q1 2024.
This is a big achievement for Nigeria’s indigenous company which according to the CEO of Air Peace came with the support of the President of Nigeria His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Minister of Aviation Barr Festus Keyamo, and others.
Onyema in a recent interview as televised by Arise TV said that Mr Keyamo had to travel to London, United Kingdom to ensure that all plans on granting the company the license to undertake international flights to the United Kingdom became successful one.
Speaking further, he said that the entrance of the company in direct flights from Nigeria to the United Kingdom will lower the cost of flight tickets that other competitors charge exorbitantly and use the excess money to give naira pressure when converting to dollars. He said that other airlines flying the route have started lowering or bringing down their cost of economy and first-class tickets ever since Air Peace achieved the goal of flying to the United Kingdom directly.
In the ceremony, the airline attendants were dressed in a good uniform that demonstrated the rich culture of Africans as other airlines owned by indigenous people from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, India etc dress in ways that promote their country’s culture.
Allen Onyema who is an Igbo man from Anambra State, South East Nigeria has done what many young people and old people in Nigeria admire so much for his courage in contributing hugely to the popularization of the Nigeria brand.

His contributions during the COVID-19 period and Xenophobic attach from South Africa all make him a businessman who pursues social enterprise instead of sole capitalism.
The management of the company through a tweet noted that the launch of the London route will enhance socio–economic relations between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
