End of Road as Supreme Court Set to Deliver Judgement on 2023 Presidential Election Case

The legal battle and court processes granted to parties that are not comfortable with the outcome of 2023 presidential election in Nigeria will be concluded soon as the apex court in Nigeria has set Thursday 26th October 2023 as the official date of judgement in the case filed by Mr Peter Obi, Labour Party (LP), Waziri Atiku Abubakar and People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Recall that Supreme Court dismissed the case filed by APM and reserved judgment on the case filed by others in the petition challenging the declaration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of 2023 presidential election held on 25th February 2023.

Anxiety in the camp of the ruling party, opposition parties and supporters of the three leading candidates during the election as the judgement of the Supreme Court is the final bus stop under democracy enshrined in the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.
