Former Minister of Aviation, Barrister Osita Chidoka, popularly known as Ike Obosi, has publicly endorsed the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Chukwumma Soludo, for a second term in office.
Chidoka made the endorsement on Saturday, July 26, 2025, during the Anambra Central Senatorial Zone endorsement event for Governor Soludo. The former minister disclosed his position through a post on his official Facebook page where he stated:
“Happening Now: At the Anambra Central Senatorial Zone (my zone) endorsement of Gov Chukwuma Soludo for Second Term. I endorse him.

This public declaration from one of Anambra’s prominent political figures adds weight to the growing support base for Governor Soludo ahead of the 2025 gubernatorial race.
Chidoka’s endorsement is expected to further galvanize support within the Anambra Central zone, a key political stronghold in the state, as preparations for the forthcoming election intensify.
In a recent development, politicians in Nigeria fans the culture of endorsing or supporting political candidates that are not members of their party when they perceive competent, character and capacity of such candidate aligning with their political interest in the other hand. In the case of Barr Chidoka, he endorsed the incumbent Governor of the state, who is not a member of his party or from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) at the National Level.
His endorsement of the candidacy of Governor Soludo posits that his support base and vote will go to APGA in the forthcoming Governorship election in Anambra State, South East Nigeria.
Governor Soludo, who assumed office in 2022, has been receiving commendations for his policies on infrastructure, economic development, and security reforms in the state.
