BUA Prepares to Crash Cement Price to #3500

The Chairman of BUA Cement Abdul Samad Rabiu visited the president of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu to inform him of his support for the government. In an interview he granted shortly after the meeting, he disclosed that his company is preparing to commission two new plants before the end of December 2023 or early January 2024. He said that the raw materials they use for cement production are all sourced locally as Nigeria has limestone and blessed with enormous gas too for power.

In his calculation, the price of BUA cement will be three thousand naira or at most three thousand five hundred naira after the commissioning of the new cement plants which he equally invited President Tinubu to come and commission the plants when they are ready for production.

Nigerians anticipate to see a crash in cement prices as not everybody can afford to buy cement using the current market price. The crash in cement prices will lead to affordability and an increase in infrastructural projects.
