Nigerian man Tunde Onakoya has recently distinguished himself as champion of Chess after playing Chess for fifty-eight hours non-stop game where he never lost a game.
He proved his witty saying that “it is possible to do great things from a small place”
The Chess Marathon was initiated for his goal to raise money to help more children born into poverty, especially in slum areas.
Tunde played chess for the complete target of fifty-eight hours at Times Square Plaza Outside Olive Garden (47th & Broadway) New York United States of America where he didn’t record any defeat in all the games he played.
His success has made him to achieve a new world record for the longest chess Marathon in his mission to raise one million dollars for children’s education.
He played Chess for more than two days to achieve the feat in the Guinness World Record for 58 hours of non-stop chess.
Many celebrities and public figures like David Adeleke known as Davido, Omoyele Sowore and others were seen physically at Times Square New York supporting Tunde Onakoya to break the Guinness Record.
Tunde Onakoya who is the founder of Chess in Slum Africa made it to the end as the longest-hour player of Chess without a defeat.
Tunde is gifted and credited to say that “for me, the greatest miracle of chess is in the inate ability of a pawn ( the least valuable piece ) to become a queen”
