Tragic Helicopter Incident Involving NNPC Limited Contractors

Unfortunately, on October 24, 2024, at 11:22 am, we lost contact with a helicopter (Registration Number: 5NBQG) traveling from Port Harcourt NAF Base to FPSO-NUIMS ANTAN. Operated by East Winds Aviation, there were 8 people on board (6 passengers, 2 crew).

The authorities, including the Ministry of Aviation, have been notified and are assisting. Search and rescue efforts are underway, with three bodies recovered so far.

Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones during this difficult time. We’re fully supporting the ongoing rescue operation.
