The founder of Heirs Holdings, Tony Elumelu Foundation(TEF) and Chairman of UBA Bank Mr Tony Elumelu has recently revealed his two role models in life.
In a chat with Richard Attias during the Future Investment Initiative program, he was asked about his role model and he responded that he has two role models and they are both dead.
He named Steve Jobs as one of his two role models. He acknowledged the foresight of Jobs which had enabled Apple to become the first company to be worth above one trillion dollars in market capitalisation years after his death.
Tony named Michael Jackson as his second role model. According to him, Michael Jackson epitomized hard work and excellence and he learnt lots of things from him. He said that people only assumed that Jackson was talented or a star but the glaring fact remains that he worked hard for his success.
Speaking further during the one one-on-one chat with Richard, he said he always encourage his children, colleagues and people around him to to put the effort in working hard, put in the time, hours and they will see the outcome.
In the life of his two role models, Tony Elumelu portrayed them as great men of foresight, hard work and excellence.
