The National Institute of Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) organized a national quiz competition for secondary schools in the thirty-six States and Federal Capital Territory Abuja to encourage students in secondary school to have a burning desire to understand things about the government or public affairs.
In the Quiz organized by NILDS, St. Teresa’s College Nsukka (STC) which is a popular secondary school in Enugu State emerged as the winner of the quiz competition.
St. Teresa’s College Nsukka is a notable school in the Nsukka metropolis and has existed for more than seventy years now. The secondary school has a special greeting derived from Latin words which serves as the motto. Bonum Eligere! When a student, teacher or Alumni says Bonum the next person or responder replies Eligere.
STC has uncommon academic excellence as students of the school are taught how to aim at the highest good and sky being their starting point and never the limit.
In the closing ceremony of the Quiz competition organized by NILDS in Federal Capital Territory Abuja, the Senate President of Nigeria in the 10th Senate Senator Godswill Akpabio was present alongside the deputy senate president and representative of the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The trophy was handed over to the students of St. Teresa’s College Nsukka ( STC) who emerged champions of the quiz competition.
