Senators Donates December Salaries to Victims of Kaduna Bombing

Serving Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria have donated their December salaries to the victims of the Kaduna village bombing.

Nigeria’s Senate legislative chamber is made up of one hundred and nine senators elected every four years. Every State in Nigeria has three senators each representing three senatorial districts allocated to each state while the federal capital territory Abuja has only one senator representing FCT Abuja.

Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria recently announced donating their December salaries in total of one hundred and nine million naira to the victims of the Kaduna village bombing.

Recall that the Nigerian Army has taken responsibility for the Kaduna village bombing and has given a public apology.

Senators across party lines or from different political parties agreed unanimously to donate their salaries to the victims of the Kaduna village bombing. The decision was welcomed and lauded by many Nigerians who saw unity and patriotism in putting Nigeria first.
