In anticipation of Christmas celebration and New Year celebrations in Nigeria, the federal government of Nigeria led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced slashing transportation costs to 50% for interstate travel while the train charges will be free.
In a statement made public by Bayo Onanuga, he said that President Tinubu says federal government will bear 50% of transportation cost for interstate travels while train is free.
Speaking further, he said the commencement of the reduction in transportation cost takes effect from Thursday 21st December 2023 to 4th January 2024.
