Minister Dele Alake Unveils 2,200-Strong Mines Marshal to Smoke Out Illegal Miners

The Federal Minister of Solid Minerals in Nigeria Mr Dele Alake recently made a tweet through his verified X account informing the general public that his office has launched 2,200-strong Mines Marshal to smoke out illegal miners in Nigeria.

He said that the security outfit launched to tackle illegal miners in Nigeria was drawn from Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and 60 personnels each will be deployed to all states in Nigeria as the first batch of the Mines Marshall.

Speaking further, the Minister notes that the unveiling of the Mine Marshall is in line with the fulfillment of his seven points agenda in office to create a new security architecture to tackle illegal mining in Nigeria.

Dele Alake in his tweet when he received the Mine Marshalls on Thursday 21st March 2024 expressed his gratitude to his counterpart the Federal Minister of interior Honourable Olubunmi Tunji Ojo for his supports leading to the recruitment and unveiling of the new security outfit to tackle illegal mining of solid minerals in Nigeria.
