Guinness Nigeria Plc in a press release has announced the appointment of Mr Adebayo Alli as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company with effect on 1st January 2024.
The appointment of Adebayo Alli is coming at a time the incumbent Managing Director of the company Mr John Musunga got a new job role at Diageo Africa as the first Managing Director for Southern, West and Central Africa.
Guinness Nigeria Plc disclosed further that John Musunga will remain the Managing Director of the company till the end of the year 2023.
The board of directors in the company appreciated Mr Musunga for his leadership prowess within a short period which led to laudable performance of the company especially with his good strategy during a difficult time and the employees engagement.
Adebayo Alli before his appointment as the Chief Executive Officer of Guinness Nigeria Plc has exhibited commitment and dedication to job delivery starting from when he joined Diageo in 2005 as a packaging operations support manager.
When he returned to Nigeria in 2017, he has held many senior management roles in Guinness Nigeria Plc leading to his recent appointment to assume the position of the company managing director starting from the first day of January 2024.
The press statement from the company made available on social media pages belonging to the company made it known that Mr John Musunga will work as Managing Director throughout the year 2023 to ensure proper handover to Adebayo Alli the incoming Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Guinness Nigeria Plc.
