Group Demands Sacking of Nigerian Police Boss, N30 Million Compensation for Families of Minors Arraigned Over EndBadGovernance Protests

Lagos, Nigeria – A human rights group, has called for the immediate sack of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba, over the alleged unlawful arraignment of minors in connection with the EndBadGovernance protests.

The group also demanded N30 million compensation for each family of the affected minors.

The #EndBadGovernance protests, which began in October 2020, aimed to address issues like police brutality, corruption, and poor governance in Nigeria.

According to reports, several minors were among the hundreds arrested and charged with various offenses, including conspiracy and unlawful assembly.
