The former Governor of Abia State Senator Orji Uzor Kalu on Monday 13th January 2025 visited the Executive Governor of Enugu State His Excellency Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.
Senator Orji Uzor Kalu governed Abia State for two term of eight years as the then number one citizen of Abia State. He is a current Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the 10th Senate Assembly where he represent the good people of Abia North Senatorial District. In the 9th Senate Assembly, he was a member of the principal officers and served as the Chief Whip of the Senate.
He is a well accomplished and successful businessman before venturing into politics where he has served in executive and legislative arm of the government respectively adding to his wealth of experience in private and public service.
Governor Mbah in a tweet revealed that he received Senator Orji Uzo Kalu who is the Senate Committee Chairman on privatisation and commercialisation. He revealed further that they had insightful and productive discussions on key issues affecting the Southeast geo-political region of Nigeria.
Governor Mbah is a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) where he was elected Governor under the platform of his party while Senator Orji Uzo Kalu is a member of All Progressive Congress (APC) which is the ruling party in Nigeria.
Though they are not a member of the same political party in Nigeria, Governor Mbah’s revelation posits that their discussion was focused on the southeast where they are from which according to him was insightful and productive.
