Dangote Petroleum Refinery Starts Production

Dangote Group in a press release announced that Dangote Petroleum Refinery has kicked off production.

The news was welcomed with excitement, especially after the long anticipation of production commencement from the Refinery after the former president of Nigeria Muhammad Buhari commissioned the refinery in 2023.

The chairman of the Dangote Group Alhaji Aliko Dangote expressed his joy in the big win of petroleum production from his refinery. He appreciated the president of Nigeria His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu for support leading to the commencement of petroleum production from the refinery.

The company announced further that only diesel ( Automotive Gas Oil) and aviation fuel will be produced in the first production commencement.

Speaking further, Dangote thanked Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority for their supports leading to the realization of the refinery project.

The company noted further that the Refinery can load 2,900 trucks a day at its truck-loading gantries with assurance of product quality or compliance to the World Bank, US EPA, European emission norms, and DPR emission/effluent norms.
