The former Vice President of Nigeria and PDP Presidential candidate during the 2023 general election in Nigeria Waziri Atiku Abubakar granted a press conference on Thursday 5th October 2023 to inform the public on the issue of alleged certificate forgery surrounding the President of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In the press conference, Atiku extolled the late human rights lawyer and activist Gani Fahwemi for starting the move in unveiling the certificate issues of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He said that the findings from Chicago State University have vindicated Gani and his soul can rest in peace in fulfilled way.
Atiku also thanked notable journalists like David Hundeyin for their skilful acts in journalism. He appreciated his efforts and other journalists who continue to use their profession to serve as the fourth arm of the government by holding leaders accountable and feeding the public with the right information.
He also recounted his political relationship with Bola Ahmed Tinubu and how he had contributed to the latter political career and the many betrayals.
He confirmed also that he avoided Governors and delegates sent by President Tinubu to beg him to forget about the alleged forged certificate from Chicago State University, United States.
He made it clear that he is on the track of helping to sustain democracy and qualified people duly elected should be the only leaders that are permitted to serve and not the other way around it.
