Tribunal: Gbadebo Rhodes – Vivour Rejects Judgment, Vows to Appeal the Case

The Labour Party (LP) Governorship Candidate during the 18th March 2023 election in Lagos State has rejected the judgment of the the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal (GEPT).

Recall that LP Gubernatorial Candidate Gbadebo Rhodes – Vivour has challenged the victory of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the winner of the said election as declared by INEC. Tribunal dismissed his case and that of others challenging the outcome of the election.

In a recent statement made available to the public through his tweet, he said he has directed his lawyers to file an appeal. He also vowed to pursue the case to the final legal bus stop which is the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

According to GRV, ” Statement on the tribunal The greatest danger to freedom is a government that ignores the Constitution. My legal team have started the appeal process. We are convicted now more than ever that this case must be fought to the Supreme Court”
