The President/ Head of State of Burkina Faso Captain Ibrahim Traorè released a statement on 30th April 2025 credited to his X social media handle to appreciate his supporters and those he acknowledged as peace-loving people for coming out to demonstrate a solidarity match in support of his government.
Recall that Captain Ibrahim Traorè took over power after a successful military coup in Burkina Faso that brought him to power, and since then, he is said to be leading a transformation for economic development of his country, while another side of the coin posits that the physical reality is different.
He has supporters in many parts of the world who have a vote of confidence in him and recently marched in solidarity to portray their faith in his military-led government and administration.
After the rally that took place in Burkina Faso and other parts of the world who visited a nearby embassy to demonstrate their support to Captain Ibrahim Traorè, he made a tweet to appreciate them and show his gratitude.
In his tweet made on his verified X social media page, he said :
“I would like to express my gratitude to all the peace-loving, freedom-loving patriots and pan-Africanists who rallied around the world on Wednesday April 30, 2025 to support our commitment and our vision for a new Burkina Faso and a new Africa, free from imperialism and neo-colonialism.
Your active solidarity and this demonstration of sympathy strenghtens our conviction that the fight we are waging for a fairer and more equitable world is justified.
We will never bend our backs in the face of adversity; we will stand firm until our peoples are truly emancipated. With you, we are certain that victory over the forces of evil is at hand.”
