President Tinubu Signs Bill Creating North-Central Development Commission (NCDC)

In trending news, the president of the 10th Senate of the National Assembly Senator Godswill Akpabio has disclosed that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assented to the bill passed by the National Assembly in 2024 for the creation/ establishment of the North Central Development Commission.

The signing of the bill into law has given the North Central Development Commission a legal backing making it to be among the existing regional development commissions in Nigeria.

Senator Godswill Akpabio in his disclosing remarks about the successful signing of the bill congratulated the good people of the North Central region for securing the North Central Development Commission which hopes to bring developments to the grassroots.

There is no official announcement yet on the leadership of the newly established development commission in the North Central region which comprises Benue State, Kogi State, Kwara State, Plateau State, Nassarawa State and Federal Capital Territory Abuja.

People from the region anticipate the official constitution of the board of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC) to achieve the aims and objectives of the said establishment.
