Edo State, Nigeria – A gruesome discovery has shaken the quiet Edo community of Ugbiyoko, Egor Local Government Area, after five bodies, including two brothers and a woman, were found dead.
Details of the Incident
According to eyewitnesses, the lifeless bodies were discovered in a residence on Upper Ekenwan Road, Ugbiyoko. The victims have been identified as:
- Victor Okodugha (male, 35)
- Emmanuel Okodugha (male, 32) – Victor’s brother
- Jennifer Oghogho (female, 28)
- Osaze Oghogho (male, 30) – Jennifer’s husband
- One unidentified male
Circumstances Surrounding the Deaths
While authorities have not confirmed the cause of death, preliminary investigations suggest the victims may have been poisoned. Neighbors reported hearing loud music from the residence late into the night, followed by an eerie silence.
“We heard nothing unusual until morning, when we discovered the bodies,” said a neighbor, who wished to remain anonymous.

Edo State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, confirmed the incident and assured a thorough investigation.
“We are working to unravel the circumstances surrounding this tragic event. We urge anyone with information to come forward,” Nwabuzor said.
