Enugu State Government Seal N100 Billion Deal to Revive United Palm Products Limited

The Governor of Enugu State His Excellency Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah disclosed that his government has sealed a deal to revive the moribund United Palm Products Limited owned by Enugu State.

According to the Governor, a deal worth one hundred billion naira was sealed with Pragmatic Palms Limited to revive the oil palm company which is one of the agricultural initiatives of the premier of the defunct Eastern region Late Dr Michael Iheonukara Okpara.

Governor Peter Mbah said that United Palms Products Limited (UPPL) has lain fallow for many years and the signed deal with Pragmatic Palms Limited will lead to the transformation of UPPL from dormant company to a productive asset.

Speaking further, Mbah noted further that the N100 Billion deal to revive UPPL through Pragmatic Palms Limited which is a subsidiary of Diamond Stripes Limited is in line with the fulfilment of the campaign promises he made to Enugu people to increase the growth of Enugu economy through agro industrialization and others.

In his last remark, he said that the Enugu State Government led by him will play a part in ensuring that the partnership works for the benefit of investors and Enugu State.
