Enugu State Government led by the Executive Governor of the State His Excellency Barr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has recently brought changes to the traffic lights seen on major junctions on the road. The traffic lights have been modernized and digitized in ways that traffic offenders are picked by the CCTV cameras positioned along side the traffic lights which are also powered by solar.
The recent reformation and designed carried out under the Ministry of Transport led by the Honourable Commissioner for Transport Obi Ozor have brought changes on addressing traffic offenders. Even when those who don’t obey traffic laws are not physically captured, the modernized digital transformation would capture the offenders and record where the law was disobeyed.
People are warned not to disobey traffic laws in Enugu even at midnight. The implication of the development portrays that traffic controllers may not be seen like before to capture offenders in junctions but offenders would be seen from the camera which will attract fines depending on the number of times such offenders have ignored the traffic laws.
Residents and visitors in the state are encouraged to abide by the traffic laws or risk being captured through the eagle eyes of the CCTV camera positioned alongside the traffic lights in the State.
